Under
sunny skies with temps in the low 90s, Atco's pits were
jamming at the NHRA Divisional. |
Classes
this weekend were Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Comp, Super
Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Super Stock, and Stock. |

Stock
Eliminator in the lanes for Round 1. |
John
Shaul of Fultonham, NY was on the lot with his A/SA 1964
Plymouth Sport Fury. He's owned it since 1997 and has 2
national event wins, including Las Vegas in 2008. |
|
|
|
The
Fury is powered by a 426 Max Wedge machined by Mike Mastin
with heads by Don Little. Trans is a non-pushbutton 727;
rear is a 4.56 8 3/4" |
Anthony
Fetch (left) was also on the property in Joe Lisa's Camaro.
Anthony took the win in Stock Eliminator. Here he is with
girlfriend Heather and brother Rich. |
|
|
This
is why Stock is one of my favorite classes; it's definitely
not cookie-cutter. This is Dennis Chapman of Toms River,
NJ in his BF/S 1988 Dodge Shadow. |
Here's
Dennis going up against Bob Bender of Perryville, MD in
his 1969 Kingwood. |
 |
|
Bill BelloFatto of Norwalk, CT in the 1965 Plymouth is away
against the 1995 Mustang of Dean Cook II of Coventry, RI. |
There
were a variety of Mustangs on hand, from old to new. |
