Saturday,
September 4th, 2010 - We returned to Numidia
Dragway today to compete in their $5,000 Gambler's
Races. They had two: one for electronics, and one for footbrake.
We entered the Dodge in footbrake on this beautiful Fall
day. |

 |
I've
said it before: the trip to Numidia is worth it for the
scenery alone. |
The
Tice family is well-known in the Northeast as some heavy-hitter
bracket racers. This is the convertible Camaro of Danny
Tice. |
|
|
Another
pair of well-known Northeast racers: the Firebird stocker
of Larry Pappas, and the Cutlass of James
Young Jr. |
|
|
The
1984 Dodge Daytona of York PA's Mike Mackey. |
The
'00 Race Special of Harleyville PA's Dan Dietrich. |
|
|
Paul
Thimm, Jr. of Mohnton, PA was on the property
with his Vega. Paul's an engine builder at Davis Race
Engines in West Chester, PA. He took the win in the $5,000
Footbrake race.

|
NJ's
Rick Constable and Ed Bigley
came for the concession food. While they were at it they
also brought their cars to race. |
Lots
of dragsters on the property today gunning for the $5,000. |
|
|
If
you've ever raced at any of the big money races in the area
or at the NHRA Division 1 Bracket Finals, then you probably
know this car. It's the 1962 Impala of Elysburg, PA's Tom
Harhart. Tom is a great driver who is very comfortable
racing against much quicker cars. |

The
clean Chevy II wagon of Dave Hock.
