Now
it's Friday, June 11th, 2010, the second
day of the four-day NHRA Supernationals
at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. If you haven't heard
already, it was a very sad day today, as drag racing lost
Top Alcohol Funny Car driver and New Jersey native Neal
Parker in a high-speed accident. My condolences
to Neal's family. |

Team
Force was making a personal appearance at All
American Ford
in Old Bridge, NJ, about 10 minutes away. That's me with
Robert Hight, John Force,
and Ashley Force Hood. I got there just
as they were packing up to leave. Friday's a big day for
the Pro teams, as it's their first time on the track for
the weekend; despite the pressure to get to the track, they
took their time with me and were extremely friendly and
gracious. They are truly class-acts. |

The
Jim Harrington Memorial Camaro. It's being
driven this weekend by former Division 1 Stock Eliminator
champion Bob Mullaney. Jim and Bob were good friends, so
it's a very fitting tribute. |
A
big part of drag racing and what makes us different is the
interaction between drivers and fans. This young fan is

Hagan's crew chief, Tommy DeLago. As I
approached, I overheard him saying "I was .014, he
was .007, I dumped him at the stripe." HE BRACKET
RACES! How cool is that?!? |
