Wednesday, June 15th, 2011 - We
took the Dodge to the car show on Main Street in Woodbridge,
NJ tonight. It's the first time I'd ever done something like
this. After all, the Dodge is meant only for racing, so it
involved trailering the car to a parking lot, unloading it
out of the box, then driving it to a spot on the street. Why
would I go to such trouble? To spread the gospel
about supporting your local dragstrip and about not racing
on the street. The Dodge always generates interest
so it gave me an opportunity to speak with people about taking
their own cars to the dragstrip and entering in a street or
trophy class just to have some fun. In between the chatting,
Stephanie and I took turns checking out the cars. Here are
the photos. |

Hey,
where'd I park? |

From
the "It's A Small World" department:
of all the people to randomly run into, this was a special
treat. This is Ron, the guitar player from the Led Zeppelin
cover band we were in together. We hadn't seen each other
in at least 10 years, and here he is in Woodbridge, NJ.
He's an unbelievable guitarist, and a motorhead to boot!
